BeachFire started on the Summer Solstice in 2002 in San Clemente and the fire has continued to burn brighter ever since! Owners Dave and Allison Donaldson invite you to BeachFire San Clemente, BeachFire Ladera Ranch, and their newest place, Irons in the Fire, at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course to see how we feed the mind, body and soul!

Currently we are working hard to minimize our impact on the environment.  We use only the highest quality, healthiest food product and ingredients available sourced from local purveyors committed to environmental sustainability and socio-cultural integrity as much as possible. Even our new wine list is Earth-friendly featuring more California wines emphasizing the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria valleys.

 

We use only fresh spices from the local Spice Man, who creates his own blends daily which leads to more powerful flavors as well. We use pure Canola trans-fat free frying oil. We participate in environmental impact programs such as the Aquarium of the Pacific Sustainable Seafood Forum. You will never see Styrofoam in our restaurants; and we recycle everything that our waste companies will accept. We also use as many post-consumer paper products we can find as well as recycled wood and metal extensively in our interior finishes. BeachFire’s new Water Conservation Program aimed to cut water usage by 50% is already showing great results.

 

BeachFire is more than a restaurant – We offer a place for people to connect and be self-expressed, while offering high quality food prepared with respect to our Earth’s valuable resources served with love by our exceptional staff and supporting local artists and musicians by showing over 400 pieces of original works of art and nightly smooth entertainment.

Our professional and dedicated management team is committed to a never-ending quest for improvement in everything we do.  The team consists of General Manager Chris Turner and Assistant GM Paul Cuevas in San Clemente and General Manager Chris "CJ" Johnston and Assistant GM Steve Carter in Ladera Ranch.  Mark Donaldson is General Manager of Irons and leads his team with the help of Chef Jeff and Managers Wendy and Melissa.

Irons in the Fire is Now Open at the Historic San Clemente Municipal Golf Course with full dining and golf services. Irons is set in brand new beautiful Spanish colonial architecture with golf course and ocean views, Irons will meet the needs of golfers first while providing a great experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our team of chefs, led by Iron Chef Jeff Brown, has created a menu full fun and culinary offerings with great value and taste. We will enhance the golfing experience with our Tahitian Beverage Cart, new concession area with driving range service - and check this out! - sunken bar, wrap-around patio with fire pit and view of the 1st and 10th tees and the driving range.
 
With seating up to 250 guests, Irons is perfect for elegant weddings, community events and golf tournaments. Irons will be a perfect compliment to the classic 1920's built golf course track by William Bell, one of the finest architects of his day. Something that many people are not aware of is that not a dime of taxpayer money was used for the new Irons clubhouse and golf facility. BeachFire LLC invested nearly one million dollars and the City invested nearly six million dollars. The City-owned golf course earns a profit every year and contributes a roughly $400,000 contribution to the City’s general fund. Not a bad deal. As well we are, in a sense, in partnership with the City given our lease agreement where a percentage of our sales go directly to the City. So please book an event with us – we need to pay our debt and the City benefits as well. Everyone wins! Especially you with such a beautiful facility and our great food and staff at your service.
BEACHFIRE PAYING BACK AND PAYING IT FORWARD TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
We're spreading the love throughout our communities at BeachFire Ladera Ranch and San Clemente and Irons in the Fire. So far this year, we've hosted over 15 fundraisers generating energy and money for many important causes and issues.
 
One of the recent events at Ladera Ranch was a fundraiser luncheon to honor the environmental contributions of The Donna O'Neil Conservancy founder, Richard J. O'Neil. Contributions of over $10,000 will benefit educational and conservation programs. The Conservancy personally thanked Dave Donaldson, owner of BeachFire, and Chef Cathy McKnight, for helping make the fundraiser possible and for their contributions.
 
BeachFire and Irons in the Fire have hosted several "Dine Out" fundraisers where we donate 20% of all sales from the day to important causes like local school Chaparral's Save The Music and Art Masters programs, the Camacho Family fundraiser, local school Concordia's PTA fundraiser and many others.
 
BeachFire and Irons are thankful to be able to pay it back and pay it forward for our valued guests. LET LOVE RULE!
